Karen Janes is a senior occupational therapist with over 20 years of experience across clinical, workplace rehabilitation, and medicolegal settings in both Australia and the UK. Since 2018, Karen has specialised in medicolegal ADL assessments, delivering clear and balanced reports that consider the impact of injury on home, work, and community roles.

Her broad background includes roles in hospital rehabilitation, community practice, workplace health, and occupational health consulting, giving her insight into both compensable and non-compensable recovery pathways. She has worked with a wide range of physical and psychological conditions and is experienced in functional capacity evaluations, return-to-work planning, equipment prescription, and home modifications.

Karen currently combines her medicolegal work with her role as a Health Management Advisor at Macquarie University, supporting staff with physical and mental health conditions to stay at work or return safely. Her clinical approach is evidence-based and solutions-focused, with a strong emphasis on practical recommendations that reflect real-world capacity.
